It's the most far-out feline night light ever--the Constellation Cat.

On March 12, 2025, the students of Earth to Sky Calculus launched it to the stratosphere onboard a giant helium balloon.

Outlined by stars in the style of an astronomical constellation, the laser-etched cat comes with an LED stand that produces a soothing glow for your bedside table.

This cat traveled to the stratosphere alongside an array of cosmic ray sensors, which the students use to monitor atmospheric radiation. At the apex of the flight, it floated 111,517 ft above the Sierra Nevada mountains of central California. After the balloon exploded (as planned), the payload parachuted back to Earth, landing in the Inyo Mountains near Death Valley National Park. A team of climbers recovered it two weeks later.

The gift-boxed cat comes with a unique gift card showing the night light floating at the top of Earth’s atmosphere. The interior of the card tells the story of the flight and confirms that this item has been to the edge of space and back again.
